‘Verily My Mercy overcomes My Anger.’

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When Allah created the Creation, He wrote in His Book–and He wrote (that) about Himself, and it is placed with Him on the Throne–‘Verily My Mercy overcomes My Anger.'”
(Sahih Al-Bukhari)

When you see a mother showing affection to her child that is from His mercy.

When you see an animal showing kindness to one another, that is from His mercy.

When you see people loving each other and showing kindness to each other, that is from the mercy of Allah.

When you have sinned, and yet He enables you to walk and talk and live another day, that is from His mercy.

When you have sinned and yet, He gives you what you ask for, He is doing out of His mercy.

When you have sinned and you realise that you have erred, the realisation is a mercy from Allah, and when you repent, the ability to repent is from His infinite mercy.

Salman reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:

Verily, Allah created, on the same very day when He created the heavens and the earth, one hundred parts of mercy. Every part of mercy is coextensive with the space between the heavens. and the earth and He out of this mercy endowed one part to the earth and it is because of this that the mother shows affection to her child and even the beasts and birds show kindness to one another and when there would be the Day of Resurrection, Allah would make full (use of Mercy).
(Sahih Muslim)
{وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ}
رحيم – the one who is merciful.
ودود – the one who loves His slaves.
In this verse Allah asks us to seek forgiveness from Him and repent to Him when we have sinned, and ends the verse by saying He is the most merciful and loving towards His slaves.
With His mercy, He forgives.
It does not end there, He will also love you.
Reflect on that, when we have wronged each other, we might forgive the other person, but will the love be the same? Will it increase or decrease?
But Allah سبحانه وتعالى His love for His slaves only increases. He will love you more, when you get back to Him in repentance.

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Surah Az-Zumar: 53)

In this month of mercy and forgiveness, ask Him to have mercy on us and forgive us for our shortcomings, and to enter us and our loved ones to Jannah and save us from the torment of the hell-fire.

When our goals met,  so did our hearts.
‘When love is for the sake of Allah,  it never dies,  continues till Jannah.’
We started as classmates,  we just knew each other by names,  a smile,  a Salam and how are yous. That’s how it used to be.
Almost a year and half passed,  we were still the same.
But when our goals met,  so did our hearts.

Crazy but beautiful

Hurrying down the stairs I observed Abeer lying on the floor. I remember asking her what was wrong but I hardly paid attention to what she replied. The whole place was a chaos since morning. Uncountable guests, weakening state of gramps, and kids shouting all over the place had made us all go wacko.

I wanted to relieve myself from all the stress. Everyone felt the same. I would like to mention my love for sudden unannounced plans. They are the best in times of stress. Yes my dear fellows what I am about to narrate to you is one of the best moments of my life spent with the people I love.

A Gratitudal Landing (Part 2)

I am trying, forgive me... 1

Remember how I wrote about the vulture landing? Well, keep that in mind all through the end!

Almost everyday, at least one of our teachers talk about parents and our duty towards them, and I sense my friend sitting next to me wiping her tears, and the whole day one of them tells me her stories with her mother which makes me emotional too. And at the same time, I am reminded how I am not grateful for the blessing of having my parents around everyday! (May Allah grant our parents long life in His Obedience. Ameen) Continue reading

Your love for Allah..

How much do you love Allah swt?
Whenever we are asked this question, we always say we love Allah more than anything else even our spouses, children, weath – He comes first.
The scholars have said to know if you truly love Allah more than anything else, see what you will choose in a situation where there is something you want to do that goes against what Allah has commanded, which do you choose?
For if you truly love Him as you say, you’ll leave your desire and obey Him.
He is the One who created you,
Feeds you,
Cures you,
Guides you,
Clothes you,
Protects you,
Forgives you,
Grants You ease,
Accepts your deeds,
Fulfils your dreams,
Answers your prayers,
Blessed you with countless blessings,
Is always there for you when there is no one else.
Yet you still disobey Him,
