Types of Hajj

ajj

A’isha (May Allah be pleased with her) said:

“Some among us put on Ihram for Hajj alone (Hajj Mufrad), some of us for Hajj and Umrah together (Qiran), and some of us for Tamattu’ (first for Umrah and after completing it for Hajj)”

(Sahih Muslim)

In this narration, we find that there are three types of Hajj:

  • Al-Ifrad
  • Al-Qiran
  • Al-Tamattu`

It is permissible for a person to perform one of these types of Hajj and a consensus has been cited on this by many scholars. Continue reading

FRIENDS :)

tumblr_m5k75lHXwW1qdxa23o1_1280
When our goals met,  so did our hearts.
‘When love is for the sake of Allah,  it never dies,  continues till Jannah.’
We started as classmates,  we just knew each other by names,  a smile,  a Salam and how are yous. That’s how it used to be.
Almost a year and half passed,  we were still the same.
But when our goals met,  so did our hearts.

“Because I am answerable to someone”

dew-drops-on-beautiful-flower-wide-high-definition-wallpaper

A good friend of mine is a teacher at University. After what seemed like ages, me and another friend got to meet her and talk to her. So, like how all friends do when they meet after a long time, we joked around, bombarded her with questions and all sorts. When we asked her about her work and her students, this is what she said; ‘They are nice kids, but now and then they do some stuff and we have no say in it. Now I understand why teachers behave in a certain way with the students, even though it may seem wrong on the outside for her not to condemn them. Because, we are answerable to our managers.’

Think before you write!

good-manners

I have been looking up the news for sometime now and it seems the whole world has made a new enemy, Islam. Yes, media and TV channels have taken the lead over the crumbling Islamic world. They have portrayed Islam as the MERS of the ever growing world population. Meanwhile the Muslims are facing failed attempts of trying to save the sovereignty of their religion and states. The thing that disturbed me the most was how many of the brothers and sisters have resorted to swearing and foul language on the social media.

Crazy but beautiful

Hurrying down the stairs I observed Abeer lying on the floor. I remember asking her what was wrong but I hardly paid attention to what she replied. The whole place was a chaos since morning. Uncountable guests, weakening state of gramps, and kids shouting all over the place had made us all go wacko.

I wanted to relieve myself from all the stress. Everyone felt the same. I would like to mention my love for sudden unannounced plans. They are the best in times of stress. Yes my dear fellows what I am about to narrate to you is one of the best moments of my life spent with the people I love.

A Princess or a Knight?

elegant-lace-strapless-a-line-princess-wedding-dress-sl024I was discussing about the work and responsibility of a woman with my cousin the other day and she stated something funny with which the whole talk came to an end. Do you know what she said?

She wished she was a man!

I just laughed when I read her message, but later on it had me thinking why did she say that? Continue reading

Would you rather be a Doctor or Engineer or…?

I picked up my mobile to see what time it was. I couldn’t be more shocked to see that it was half past two already…

I had spent the whole evening understanding Tafseer and my mind was too concentrated to absorb anymore explanations.

I reminded myself of the Nahu period that I will have to attend tomorrow along with the Tafseer assessment and decided to give myself some rest. I went to bed with the following ayah in my mind:

(‘يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء و من يؤت الحكمة فقد أوتي خيرا كثيرا و ما يذكر إلا أولو الألبب’ ( سورة البقرة ٢٦٩

“He giveth wisdom unto whom He will, and he unto whom wisdom is given, he truly hath received abundant good. But none remember except men of understanding.” (Surah Al Baqarah 269) Continue reading

A Gratitudal Landing (Part 2)

I am trying, forgive me... 1

Remember how I wrote about the vulture landing? Well, keep that in mind all through the end!

Almost everyday, at least one of our teachers talk about parents and our duty towards them, and I sense my friend sitting next to me wiping her tears, and the whole day one of them tells me her stories with her mother which makes me emotional too. And at the same time, I am reminded how I am not grateful for the blessing of having my parents around everyday! (May Allah grant our parents long life in His Obedience. Ameen) Continue reading
