A good friend of mine is a teacher at University. After what seemed like ages, me and another friend got to meet her and talk to her. So, like how all friends do when they meet after a long time, we joked around, bombarded her with questions and all sorts. When we asked her about her work and her students, this is what she said; ‘They are nice kids, but now and then they do some stuff and we have no say in it. Now I understand why teachers behave in a certain way with the students, even though it may seem wrong on the outside for her not to condemn them. I have been looking up the news for sometime now and it seems the whole world has made a new enemy, Islam. Yes, media and TV channels have taken the lead over the crumbling Islamic world. They have portrayed Islam as the MERS of the ever growing world population. Meanwhile the Muslims are facing failed attempts of trying to save the sovereignty of their religion and states. The thing that disturbed me the most was how many of the brothers and sisters have resorted to swearing and foul language on the social media.
Hurrying down the stairs I observed Abeer lying on the floor. I remember asking her what was wrong but I hardly paid attention to what she replied. The whole place was a chaos since morning. Uncountable guests, weakening state of gramps, and kids shouting all over the place had made us all go wacko.
I wanted to relieve myself from all the stress. Everyone felt the same. I would like to mention my love for sudden unannounced plans. They are the best in times of stress. Yes my dear fellows what I am about to narrate to you is one of the best moments of my life spent with the people I love.

Almost everyday, at least one of our teachers talk about parents and our duty towards them, and I sense my friend sitting next to me wiping her tears, and the whole day one of them tells me her stories with her mother which makes me emotional too. And at the same time, I am reminded how I am not grateful for the blessing of having my parents around everyday! (May Allah grant our parents long life in His Obedience. Ameen) Continue reading →
