The Eternal Bliss

After that long day of fast on a hot summer day coming back from work or university, you are all tired and left no energy, you want a cold glass of water to quench your thirst and a tasty meal to fill your stomach but oh it’s Ramadan, you have to wait a few more hours for all of that. Instead you have to prepare your iftaar and then wait for Magrib to dive in the yummy dishes.

When we all go through situations like this, we think in sha Allah there is a great reward for this.

Every time you feel lazy to pray but still get up on as soon as the athan is called out.

Every time you give the needy man some money when your wallet is running out of cash.

Every time you are in a bad mood, yet still control yourself and talk to your mother kindly.

Every time you sleep late but still pray Fajr with half eyes open.

Every single time when we put more effort and fight ourselves in obeying our Lord, the thing that motivates us is His Pleasure and His unbreakable promise to us; Paradise.

This post is just to remind you about this promise, to motivate you and let you know these efforts of yours are indeed precious and worth the struggle. Stay strong and keep working towards His promise to you.

So what exactly will you get in Paradise?

The simple answer to that is what Allah has informed us in Surah Qaf:

لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ

”They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم has said about Paradise: ”Allah has said: I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no heart has conceived.”

In the Tafseer of this ayah it says: They will certainly get whatever they desire, but in addition We will also give them that which they have never conceived and, therefore, could not desire.

And He says in Surah As-Sajda:

فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

No person knows what is kept hidden for them of delights of the eye as a reward for what they used to do”

So basically you will get literally EVERYTHING you want plus even the amazing things you don’t even know exist and that to right away, no waiting, and the best part; it’s all forever!

And this eternal bliss is rewarded to you for your obedience in this life only, how long would that be..50 years? 60? or 80? That itself is a mercy from Allah. Even if we spend every minute and second of lives worshiping Him its still not enough to be grateful to Him even for the smallest blessing He gave us, we can never worship enough has He deserves to be worshiped and  yet He will grant us with the fulfillment of our dreams for eternity. Subhan Allah

No one of us will enter Jannah because of deeds, it’s only from the mercy of Allah that we shall enter Paradise in sha Allah. Our deeds only determine which level of Paradise will be our final abode, so increase your good deeds to reach it’s highest levels.

I ask Allah to grant us all the highest level of Paradise without any torment or accountability. Ameen.

Abeer Nouman.
